Bunny Oreo Balls (Printer-friendly)

Chocolate-dipped Oreo spheres shaped into charming bunnies with marshmallow tails and ears

# What You Need:

→ Oreo Mixture

01 - 36 Oreo cookies (regular, not Double Stuf)
02 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened

→ Coating & Decoration

03 - 14 oz white chocolate or white candy melts
04 - Pink candy melts or pink food coloring (for ears and nose)
05 - Mini marshmallows (for tails and ears)
06 - Edible black food marker or black decorating gel (for eyes)
07 - Sprinkles or colored sugar (optional, for decoration)

# How to Make It:

01 - Process Oreo cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form.
02 - Add softened cream cheese and blend until fully combined and a smooth dough forms.
03 - Scoop 1 tablespoon portions and roll into balls. Gently shape each into a slightly oval bunny head form.
04 - Cut mini marshmallows in half for tails and into thin slivers for ears. Set aside for assembly.
05 - Place shaped balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes until firm.
06 - Melt white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth.
07 - Dip each chilled Oreo ball in melted chocolate, coating completely. Allow excess to drip off before returning to parchment-lined sheet.
08 - While coating is still wet, attach two marshmallow slivers for ears and one half-marshmallow for the tail on each bunny.
09 - Let chocolate set for 5-10 minutes until firm to the touch.
10 - Using a toothpick dipped in pink candy melts or food coloring, add a pink nose and fill the insides of the ears.
11 - Draw eyes with an edible black food marker or decorating gel.
12 - Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to ensure proper set.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The Oreo-cream cheese filling tastes exactly like the inside of a truffle but requires zero cooking skills
  • They look incredibly impressive but the actual work is mostly just dipping things in chocolate
  • Kids go absolutely wild for these, which makes them worth the slightly fussy decorating step
02 -
  • If your white chocolate seizes and gets grainy, stir in a teaspoon of coconut oil or vegetable oil to smooth it out again
  • Room-temperature Oreo balls will slide right off your dipping fork, so dont skip the freezing step
  • Working in small batches of 4-5 bunnies at a time keeps the chocolate from setting before you can attach the marshmallow parts
03 -
  • Use a toothpick to hold the bunny head while dipping for more control and fewer finger marks
  • If you mess up the face details, wait for the chocolate to fully set and you can scrape it off with a knife and try again
