Golden, cheesy twists with herbs, air-fried for a crunchy, flavorful snack or appetizer option.

# What You Need:

→ Dough

01 - 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough

→ Cheese & Fillings

02 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
03 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
04 - 1/2 cup pizza sauce, plus extra for dipping
05 - 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
06 - 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

→ Topping

07 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
08 - 1 garlic clove, minced
09 - 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes.
02 - On lightly floured surface, roll pizza dough into 10 x 14 inch rectangle.
03 - Spread pizza sauce evenly over half of dough. Sprinkle mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian herbs, and red pepper flakes over sauce.
04 - Fold dough in half lengthwise to cover filling. Gently press edges together.
05 - Using sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice dough into 8 strips.
06 - Twist each strip several times and place in single layer in air fryer basket. Work in batches if needed.
07 - In small bowl, mix melted butter and minced garlic.
08 - Brush tops of each twist with garlic butter mixture.
09 - Air fry for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
10 - Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • These twists come together in under 30 minutes start to finish, making them perfect for sudden cravings or unexpected guests
  • The air fryer creates that ideal crunch outside while keeping the inside soft and gooey, exactly like restaurant bread sticks but way faster
02 -
  • Do not skip the flipping step halfway through cooking, or you will end up with uneven browning and some sad pale spots
  • Work in batches rather than crowding the air fryer basket, because these need hot air circulating all around them to get properly crispy
03 -
  • Let the dough sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before rolling to make it much easier to work with
  • Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper for easier cleanup, especially if any cheese escapes
